Draft

Draft — requires review by counsel before publication. Written by an AI assistant, not a lawyer. Every "For counsel" note marks a point that needs legal judgement.

TryYourSize keeps a few small items in your browser (cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage). Most are strictly necessary: without them you could not stay signed in or keep your measurements while you work, so they do not need consent (Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive).

Where you get your size — the window on a store, the size guide and the Body app — we store only what is strictly necessary (your session, your language, a cache of your body and of your results) and no analytics cookies or identifiers at all. That is why there is no cookie banner there. We count how the service is used on our servers, from the requests the service already makes, as aggregated statistics with no identifier (section 2).

Analytics on tryyoursize.com and in Studio (for brands) run only after you agree, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings. Before you choose, nothing is sent to PostHog (our analytics and error-tracking provider) from those sites, and no PostHog identifier is stored. If you refuse, or later withdraw, it stays that way and the identifier is deleted.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not load fonts or other files from Google or other third parties on our websites.

Error reports to our own servers. When one of our apps fails, it sends a short report to our own servers (/v1/client_errors): the error message and where in our code it happened, the app, its version and the page path, with emails, codes, keys and numbers removed. It carries no identifier, sets no cookie or storage, and is kept with our server logs for 30 days. We need it to keep the service secure and working, so it is strictly necessary and does not need consent.

2. In the TryYourSize window on a store

The window ("Find my size", "Size guide") is served by TryYourSize from embed.tryyoursize.com, inside the store's page. Your browser keeps our storage separate for each store (storage partitioning), so what we store on one store cannot be read on another.

NameTypePurposeKeptConsent
tys.session.v1localStorageKeeps you signed in to your TryYourSize profile on this storeUntil you sign out, or up to 180 daysNot needed (necessary for the service you asked for)
tys.measure.progress.v1localStorageKeeps the measurements you are entering on your device, so you do not lose them if the window closesUntil you save them to your profile or start againNot needed (necessary)
tysc.seen.<store>localStorageRemembers that you were already welcomed on this storeUntil you clear itNot needed (necessary)
tysc.body.v1localStorageA technical cache for your 3D body (no measurements), so it opens quickly24 hoursNot needed (necessary)
tys.fit.<product>localStorageThe fit description of your last try-on of this product, so the size guide can show it againUntil you clear it or your body changesNot needed (necessary)
tys.saa.triedsessionStorageRemembers that the browser was already asked for storage access in this tabUntil you close the tabNot needed (necessary)

No analytics in the window. The window, the size guide and the inline element store no analytics cookie or identifier and send nothing to an analytics provider from your browser. To know how the service is used, our servers count steps they already see (the window opened, measurements completed, a size shown, the try-on opened, a size used, a first size in a new store) and send them to PostHog (EU) as aggregated statistics: each count gets a new random ID, so counts cannot be linked to each other or to you; no IP address, email, measurement or size is sent, and no profile is made. Each count carries only the store, the product category, the language, the type of device (phone, tablet, computer, from your browser's description, which is not kept), and coarse timings. The only things the window sends to our own servers for this are which part of the window is calling and, when you choose a size, that you did (not which size).

For counsel: Server-side statistics write nothing to and read nothing from the device beyond the request headers every browser sends (the user agent, reduced at once to phone/tablet/computer, and the language) and a label naming the calling page; the "size used" step is one extra request with no identifier. Confirm this is outside Art. 22.2 LSSI / Art. 5(3) ePrivacy (no storage of or access to information on the terminal for analytics), so no consent banner is needed on the shopper surfaces.

3. In the Body app (my.tryyoursize.com)

NameTypePurposeKeptConsent
tys.account.session.v1localStorageKeeps you signed inUntil you sign out, or up to 180 daysNot needed (necessary)
tys.account.langlocalStorageThe language you choseUntil you change itNot needed (requested by you)

The Body app has no analytics in your browser and no cookie banner; it uses only the two items above and the error reports to our own servers described at the top.

Sign-in pages of WorkOS and payment pages of Stripe set their own cookies on their own domains, under their own notices.

5. On brands' stores

The store's page loads the TryYourSize script (js.tryyoursize.com). It stores nothing by default. If the store runs an A/B experiment with TryYourSize (to measure how size returns change with and without it), the script keeps a random visitor ID, tys_vid, in the store's own localStorage, so the same visitor stays in the same group. It contains no name, email or measurement, and is never shared across stores.

The store decides whether to run such an experiment and is responsible for asking for your consent in its own cookie banner where the law requires it.

For counsel: tys_vid is not strictly necessary, so Art. 22.2 LSSI consent is probably needed on the store's site. It is kept by product decision (2026-10) because the A/B results depend on it; it lives in the store's storage, the store controls whether an experiment runs, and our servers keep only a per-store hash. Confirm, and decide whether the SDK must wait for a consent signal from the store (an option for the outcomes/A-B team; today it does not wait), and whether our DPA must make the store's banner responsible for it explicitly.

6. Fonts

Our websites and apps serve their fonts (Geist, Geist Mono, Instrument Serif; SIL Open Font License) from our own servers, so your IP address is not sent to a font provider. Inside a store, the window uses the store's own font; if the store loads that font from Google Fonts, the window loads the same stylesheet from Google to match it.

For counsel: Confirm whether forwarding the store's Google Fonts stylesheet into our frame (a request from our frame to Google that the store's own page already makes) is acceptable, or whether it should be disabled for EU stores.

7. Your choice

  • Cookie settings at the bottom of tryyoursize.com and in Studio's Help menu lets you accept or reject analytics at any time (the window and the Body app have nothing to accept: they run no analytics in your browser). Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Withdrawing stops analytics and PostHog error reports at once and deletes the PostHog identifier.
  • If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not ask, and nothing is sent to PostHog even if you accepted earlier.
  • You can also delete all storage for our sites in your browser settings. You will then be signed out.
